Higher level of water quality with less work and resources
Legionella prevention traditionally requires flushing all water outlets every 72 hours, significantly increasing water consumption. HANSA is revolutionizing water monitoring and management by offering real-time data on water usage and quality, measured directly at the point of use. We support you economically and efficiently in achieving excellent drinking water hygiene with little effort.
Welcome to the era of digital and real-time water management!
Legionella and microbe growth in water installations are rising challenges, wasting valuable water, energy, and labor. Our solution provides real-time feedback from every water outlet, revolutionizing how you manage your water.
Without knowing which outlets have been used, all outlets must be flushed regularly, leading to unnecessary flushings and wasted work, energy, and water.
Managing sufficient water circulation becomes straightforward with outlet-specific information (faucet, shower, or toilet seat). Our automated notification system indicates only the outlets that need to be flushed.
We are eliminating unnecessary flushings and ensuring efforts to minimize the risk of Legionella and microbial growth. Automatic reporting provides evidence of effective work for future reference and verification.
Hansa’s digital services provide savings and effective water management solutions for businesses. They are easy to install on any property, requiring only a few minutes of installation work per outlet without structural intervention.
Join our webinar to explore Hansa's innovations in water management, including cloud-based remote control of faucets and showers, and new water monitoring and reporting features.

This number is estimated according to the customer feedback we have collected. The estimate is that normally over 50% of the water outlets are used enough daily or at least during the past 72hrs so those wouldn´t need to be flushed. Unfortunately, this fact cannot be stated if no outlet-specific data collection is active.
Four different data parameters have been measured: water consumption, temperature, flow duration and time of day. These can be used to calculate everything you need - for example, the energy used to heat the hot water.
Each faucet and data module unit sends data via Bluetooth to a local modem, which collects data from all the products in an area of about 30 m² around it. The modem has a SIM card and a 4G data connection, which is used to aggregate the data in the cloud. Users of the service are given access to an online dashboard with real-time reports on consumption. The measuring sensors inside the faucets or data modules generate their energy from the water flow, so no batteries or other power source is needed. Only the modem needs a permanent connection to the mains.
All water consumption data will be collected in an online dashboard to which users of the service will be given access. The web interface allows users to freely change the amount and location of viewed faucets (individual room/apartment, floor, building) and the time from days to weeks and months. The view can be changed from numerical to graphical when searching for, for example, exceptional usage events with high water consumption. It is also possible to create automatic weekly or monthly reports to track the level of water hygiene and stagnation cases. The user can also set alarms, for example about water outlets that have not been used during the past days to minimize the risk of Legionella.
No, they don´t. All the energy needed to measure and transmit data is generated by the water flow. The turbines are small so they limit very little the actual water flow and pressure.
If we consider that one faucet runs normally with 6l/min flow. It needs to be flushed every 72 hours to minimize the stagnation and legionella risk in health and care facilities. In 4 weeks that means 10 flushings with 3 min on cold water and the same for hot water pipe per faucet. This means 360 litres of water is used for flushings per faucet. And 50% of that is warm water, which sums up to 9.6kWh of energy per faucet.
Based on the customer feedback the estimation is that over 50% of the water outlets are normally used enough daily and those wouldn´t need to be flushed if the outlet-specific usage data existed. This means that in a building with 100 water outlets, then there are over 430,000 liters of water and almost 10000 kWh of energy wasted on an annual level.
Not to mention all the labour needed to perform the flushing
The wall faucets, data modules and touchless faucets are all manufactured in Finland at the Oras factory in Rauma.
The faucets do not require any additional maintenance compared to normal products. It is advisable to periodically clean the aerator of the spout from calcification caused by water to ensure a smooth flow of the nozzle. For telecommunications and connectivity, Oras will maintain the system as part of the service contract.
As an example: warm water of 38 deg that flows with 6 liters per minute, which is a normal flow of a wash basin faucet, has energy content of 5.3 Wh per second. This means that when the faucet runs for 60 seconds the energy consumption is 5.3Wh/sec * 60 sec = 318 Wh, which is 0.318 kWh.
This equals a half day energy consumption of a normal refrigerator.
